The book reviews the history, architecture and ornamental details with special attention to the tile decorated façade of the 18th century house located in downtown Puebla, México now the University Art Museum. The book dedicates a section to study the origin (Greece or Thailand) and meaning of the 18th century tiles that shape out the "muñecos" (figures) decorating the façade along a presenting a catalogue of selected pieces from the extraordinary collection of colonial paintings from famed artists such as Cristóbal de Villalpando, Juan Tinoco, Cástulo Portilla, Diego de Borgraf, Agustín Arrieta, and others.
