One very small marginal stain, minor aging; about fine According to this treaty the O’Gallala Sioux would agree to cease hostilities against the whites and other Indian tribes for a sum of $10,000 annually for 20 years. They were not allowed to attack another tribe, unless they were attacked first, and the President would be the arbitrator between any differences among the tribes. There were also some additional incentives for taking up agriculture, and the treaty states that any Indian who would pursue an agricultural lifestyle would be protected from whites and other Indians. This large paper issue of this treaty is believed to be one of 75 copies printed.
