Volume II upper forecorner repaired, minor soiling and rubbing, foxing, and both labels somewhat stained or darkened; else very good. Baynard Rush Hall (1798-1863) was one of the first professors at Indiana Seminary. According to Shumaker this was "one of the most folksy books ever written concerning pioneer Indiana". There is a good deal of material on Bloomington, and the book is considered a valuable source of information on pioneer life in this region.
