Greetings from William and Leslie Denman, 1956. Paperback. Fred Kabotie. Thin quarto [28.5 cm] Green and black printed paper jacket over flexible card wraps. Very good. The edges of the lightly rubbed covers are faded, bumped, and chipped. There are tiny holes in the covers and pages near the spine, perhaps where a string tie binding was used. There is a small pen mark on the front cover, and there is a small library stamp on the third page, else free of library markings. The gatherings are a little loose. A couple of the pages have brief notations in pen. Born in Shungopovi, Second Mesa, Arizona, Fred Kabotie became a well-known painter, illustrator, silversmith, teacher and writer of Hopi Indian life. He remained at Second Mesa, and his Indian name was "Nakayoma," meaning Day After Day.
