Interesting early railroad report to shareholders that provides considerable useful historical information, including railroad construction costs and description and costs of engines and pessanger cars. While the title suggests a westward theme, much of the construction is along the Connecticut River. Also, the schedule of distances in the report seems to focus on Massachusetts and the greater Boston area.
