By [Treasury]
Pamphlet, folio, probably removed, center stitch, dbd, 17 pp. Some chips and wear to extremities, a couple of creases, signature on title page, last page partially detached, normal aging and toning; otherwise very good. Interesting view of exports from a young nation around the time of the end of the War of 1812.The charts show we exported a lot of cotton, indigo and sugar. Other charts show Great Britain and France were good customers, and New York and South Carolina represented big export states. The report was prepared under the direction of William H. Crawford (1772-1834) who was Secretary of the Treasury at that time, and who had just finished a tour of duty as the Secretary of War.
