Small 8vo, later full leather with spine label, illustrated 340 pp. Foxing throughout, signatures on front endpaper, some minor scuffing to binding, which is in really nice condition overall. This is more a work relating to mechanics than philosophy. Included are over 200 engravings dealing with the principals of mechanics. Comstock was also the author of "Conversations on Chemistry", and "outlines of Geology".
