Pamphlet, 8vo, stitched, disbound, 56 pp. Some wear and chips to extremities of cover, and second leaf, Harvard Library stamp on back of front cover, modest toning and aging; otherwise very good. This pamphlet commemorates the bi-centennial of the Indian attack on Medfield in February 1675. It was believed that a group of Nipmucks and Wampanoags, who were allied with King Philip, terrorized the residents, and burned a good portion of the town. The pamphlet records the activities of the celebration, including some historical information, prayers, and poems. Also included is a list of names of those people that were killed by the Indians on the day the town was burned. OCLC.
