A handsome, clean copy of this imposing 1915 catalogue of the British Museum's holdings of Bronze Reliefs from the Gates of Shalmaneser, King of Assyria from 860 to 825 B.C. VG in its navy-blue cloth, with bright gilt-lettering along the front panel and spine. Very light, limited fraying along spine ends and light soiling to the panels. Internally, very minor offsetting at the front and rear endpapers, otherwise clean as could be, with no markings or stamps of any kind. Tall quarto, 36 pgs. of text plus 80 sumptuous black-and-white plates.
