There are several light stains on the covers. The largest stain is thin, and measures and measures 2 and 1/2 inches long. It is on the rear wrap. The edges are creased, and have 4 or 5 small closed tears. The longest closed tear is at the foot of the spine, and measures 1/2 inch long. There are several extremely tiny stains on the fore edge of the text block. There is a former owner's ink stamp on the title page. The pages are slightly browned. Signed by the author on the title page. In addition to writing over 250 hymns, Tiplady was a trailblazer when it came to the use of films in evangelism, helping create the Religious Film Society of London.
