The edges of the spine and covers are very lightly rubbed. There is a small light stain on the bottom edge of the text block. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with general mild rubbing. The rear panel also has multiple light scratches. The longest scratch measures 2 and 1/2 inches long. George Reynolds was chosen as the "polygamy test case," and he gained nationwide notoriety in the Supreme Court case known as Reynolds v. United States.
