Bradstreets' New York Semi-Annual Trade Circular. Central and Near-Bye Edition.

  • New York:: Bradstreet,, 1866.
By [Bradstreet].
Trade pamphlet, folio, stitched, original printed wrappers, illustrated, 16pp. Some chips and tears at the extremities, some creasing, a little staining and aging, a few tape repairs, mostly in margins; still a very respectable copy given the nature of this type of item. A rather scarce trade catalogue produced by the Bradstreet publishing organization. Founded in 1849 by John M. Bradstreet, this firm would produce trade and financial information for many years. In 1933 Bradstreet would merge with rival R.G. Dun & Company, and form Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). Well known for its credit reports, D& B would actually own Moody's Investor Service, the rating agency, for a number of years. The current title offers business information and advertisements for many different industries. There is information on a range of different products from dry goods to footwear. A 1981 letter concerning this item to a former ABAA member is included.
