Light toning to text, somewhat darker in places, light foxing to a few leaves. Early owner signature to title page of Volume I "M. Rigault-Beauvais / 1819", interiors otherwise clean. $300. * Fourth edition. This copy is very likely from the library of Michel Rigault-Beauvais, who would later, between 1841 and 1861, serve as justice of the peace ("juge de paix") at Fresnay-sur-Sarthe in the northwest of France (Wikipedia).
