Porto Alegre, Brazil: Apoio Gerdau, 1984. b/w and color plates, tipped-in color plates, bio/chron., fldg. wrps. 28 works on paper of Ismael Nery (Brazil, 1900-1934) in part of a homage at the 50th anniversary of his death. One of the key artists of the Semana de 1922 and of the modernist period in Brazilian art. Numerous influences can be seen in the drawings including surrealism, cubism, Art Deco, expressionism and classic all with his own twist.
