Complete run of this relatively short-lived publication that includes 22 issues in all. The goal of this very interesting series was to collect and preserve information about the early frontier (Ohio Valley). The Logan Historical Society was named after the Mingo Indian Chief (Logan) who was a great orator and friend of the White man in the early days. A great source of information on the Ohio Valley and Western Expansion. Field states “The great mass of historical material in these two volumes is composed of Journals of campaigns against the Indians, Narratives of Captivity, Incidents of Border Warfare, Biographical Sketches of Frontiersmen, Indian Warriors, and White Scouts. Everything relating to the Aborigines finds these volumes a place which is in effect, a great storehouse of incidents, and historical data regarding them.”
