SIGNED. 328pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] 3/4 black cloth with decorative paper covered boards, a gilt stamped brown leather title label on the spine, and gilt stamped decorative patterns on the spine and covers. Deckled edges. In a black paper covered slipcase, with a printed title label on the side panel. The book is in very good condition. The spine ends and corners are gently bumped, and the front board is just a tiny bit concave. Minor spine roll. The endsheets are ever so slightly foxed. There is a former owner's bookplate mounted to the front pastedown. The pages are subtly yellowed. The slipcase is in good condition only, with multiple splits in the edges. The longest split is 7 and 1/2 inches long. The underlying boards are exposed along the edges. In addition, the slipcase is lightly rubbed. With a letter signed by a representative of the author in an envelope mounted to the front free endsheet. Signed and inscribed by Theodore Dreiser on the limitation page. Number 504 of 550.
