Folio sheet, writing on both sides, 2 pp. Some overall aging and toning, but not particularly dark, a couple of small tears at the folds affecting two words, small tear at bottom fold; otherwise in very nice shape, and very readable. This is a 1752 copy of a deed made in 1733 by which Joseph Gallup of Stonington, who has signed this document, sold part of his inheritance to his brother. The properties sold in this transaction were in Plainfield, Stonington, Gorton and New London, and half of his father's holdings on Sixpenny Island. Donald Palmer, justice of the peace, and Ebenezer Dow, court recorder, also signed the document.
