Hardcover. 203pp. Octavo [23 cm] Lime green cloth covered boards with a dark green ink stamped title on the spine, and the Texas Folklore Society emblem on the front board. Good only. The covers are just a tiny bit cocked and warped. The pages are very wavy, most likely from moisture damage or steam. In a very good dust jacket, with subtle rubbing and creasing. There are several small stains on the rear panel, and there is a 3/4 inch closed tear in the bottom edge. There are also a handful of short closed tears and chips in the edges. Texas Folklore Society Publication XXVII. From the dust jacket- "The folklore to be found in Mesquite and Willow is both formal and informal, raw and refined- annotated studies of folktale dialogue and tale-type origins, plus ghost stories and good-humored animal tales.
