Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1904. Hardcover. 1286pp. Very thick quarto [30 cm] Dark reddish brown cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Good only. The extremities are rubbed, and the boards are mildly stained. The cloth along the edges is a little bit frayed, and the underlying boards are peeking through at the corners. There are numerous very small light stains on the edges of the text block, and there are 4 thin marks on the bottom edge of the text block. The hinges are broken and the underlying cords are visible. The rear free endsheet is partially detached. The pages are slightly yellowed. The text block is cracked multiple times. The pages are clean. May require extra postage due to weight. Subjects include Classification of Metamorphism, Form of Silica in Solutions, Theory of Dissociation, Source of Ground Water, Origin of Pegmatites, Agents of Weathering, and more.
