Japan: The Hokuseido Press, 1935. First edition. Hardcover. 96pp. Duodecimo [18.5 cm] Black cloth covered boards with the title stamped in orange ink on the spine. Very good. The extremities are very slightly rubbed and bumped. There are a handful of very small stains on the front endsheet, and there is a bookseller's tiny label on the front free endsheet. Bookseller's label on the title page. The dust jacket is in good condition. Age-toned, and lightly soiled and rubbed. There are a couple of small losses from the paper at the ends of the spine. The larger loss is from the paper at the head of the spine, and measures 1 inch wide by 1/2 of an inch deep. There are also 5 large chips in the edges. The spine of the jacket is darkened. Edited with a preface by Albert Morell. Contents include: Emile Zola- A Note, The Fight at the Mill, A Peasant's Death, A Rich Man's Death.
