12mo (7 x 4 1/2), original printed and illustrated boards, with leather spine with gilt lettering, illustrated, 396 pp. plus ads. Binding worn and a bit faded, top cover detached, extremities worn and rubbed, spine is split, which makes the book almost two parts, pagination appears complete, but could be lacking frontispiece or front endpaper, contents a bit aged, foxed and browned. The register was first published in 1830, which makes this the third installment, and includes useful information about manufacturing, banking, schools, post offices, courts and newspapers. There is even a list of lawyers and clergymen, and the book comes with its own almanac. This edition also contains several illustrations, including a full page engraving of an early railroad train.
