Large 8vo, original maroon cloth with tipped in color plate on top cover, gilt lettering on spine, illustrated, xix, 227 pp. Copy 929 of 1250 copies. Binding very slightly faded, internally bright and clean; a very nice tight copy. Nash Buckingham (1880-1971) was born in Memphis, and was a well known sportsmen and sporting writers probably best know for his short stories De Shootiness Gent'man. He would go on to write several full length works, including Blood Lines. He was a passionate shotgunner, and was considered a master with that gun. In 'Blood Lines' Buckingham tells stories of people of influence in his life, but he also provides a lot of detail on the mechanics of duck hunting. .
