By the 2nd volume the magazine was renamed "The Conchologist: A Journal of Malacology" and by Vol. III just "The Journal of Malacology". All 3 volumes clean and solid. Each volume rebound in a uniform dark-green cloth, with bright gilt-lettering along the spines. (The original wrappers bound-in at the rear of each volume). Mild scuffing to Vol. III's boards and light foxing to the endsheets of Vol. I, otherwise tight and well-preserved. Octavos, 400 pgs. all told.
