New Haven: Tuttle, Morehouse & Taylor Co, 1900. 8vo, pp. 755; bound with: "Obituary record of graduates of Yale University deceased during the academical year ending in June, 1901, including the record of a few who died previously, hitherto unreported". Together in contemporary three-quarter red morocco over marble boards, gilt-lettered spine, t.e.g., marble endpapers; ex-Minnesota Historical Society with usual markings, edges and corners scuffed, else a very good copy. Includes the obituary of Noah Porter (class of 1831), editor-in-chief of Webster's Dictionary after 1860, whose "burden of responsibility...would have appalled a scholar of less active mind or buoyant spirit" (p. 83).
