[Broadsheet] $1,000 Reward; To Detectives and Police Officers

Freeport, Illinois, 1878. Broadsheet: I send herewith a photograph of George Thompson, formerly County Clerk of Stephenson Illinois. He left here about four and a half years ago. Indictments have been found against him for mutilating the records of the country and for forgery. He fled to Canada then ended up in California but eventually returned to Illinois where he was sentenced to State Prison.
