4to, cloth, dust jacket, illustrated, 215 pp. DJ with some tears, chips and folds at extremities (mostly top extremities), and flaps some aging, but contents clean and bright; overall about very good. This is the fourth expanded edition that was originally published as part of an exhibition by The Museum of Modern Art in 1937. Newhall organized that exhibit. This work includes an incredible collection of photographs, including one that was dated 1837.
