This abridgement is valuable for its insights into the political and legal history of Ireland in the mid-eighteenth century. This was the era when Georgian Ireland was beginning to enjoy a period of prosperity and a degree of political autonomy. Four supplements were issued in 1756, 1758, 1760 and 1762.
