Map of Nevada.
- Chicago:: Henry S. Stebbins,, 1889.
Single page map of Nevada (10 1/2" x 14") colored, ample margins. Paper slightly brittle, small chip in one corner, some normal aging and browning; overall very good or better. George F. Cram (1842-1928) served in the army during the Civil War, and founded his map company in Illinois in 1867, long after most of the major map companies established their business. Despite being wiped out by the Chicago fire in 1871, the company rebuilt and survived and started making globes in 1932, and continued as a business for over 130 years. Colorful map of Nevada, illustrating the California border, Carson City, Indian reserve in the southeast, and the Ralston Desert.
