Two pages advertising The Harper Prize Novel Contest at the rear. The spine ends and edges of the covers are mildly faded and bumped. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front free endpaper, and the pages are browned. The price-clipped dust jacket is in good plus condition, with numerous small losses from the edges. A first edition of the author's first novel, and the 1933-1934 Harper Prize Novel.
