The endsheets are lightly soiled, with darkened strips along the fore-edges. The front paste-down bears a small number stamp and patches of paper residue, perhaps left behind from a book-plate. There is a contemporary owner's name and address on the front free endsheet. There is a long closed tear in the front free endsheet close to the hinge. There are numerous tiny and small brown stains on the first 5 pages. The rest of the pages are very clean.
