Book condition: Good with rubbed edges, gently exposing boards. Volume one has a short split in cloth at head of front joint and a small spot of wax at foot of front cover. Text block of both volumes lightly moisture damaged. Hinges of volume one are soft. The rear endpaper of volume one was glued defectively, and has caused some tearing at rear hinge. There are small, previous bookseller's labels on rear pastedowns.
