Containing the famous “Sonnet du Trou du Cul” (Verlaine and Rimbaud). Although this edition does not appear in Pia's “Les Livres de l‘Enfer du XVIeme siecle a nos jours” it is related to Pia 967, and the first section bears the following false imprint: “Les Amies : sonnets / par le licencié Pablo de Herlagnez. Ségovie, 1868.” The limitation statement notes that "cette édition a été tirée à deux cent cinquante exemplaires pour les souscripteurs et non mise dans le commerce." A contemporary originial drawing of a couple at the moment of embrace unfolds in the oversize margin at page 81 (7 x 6-1/2 inches). An uncommon edition, provocatively extra-illustrated.
