A collection of five (5) engraved Rewards of Merit from Ward School No. 26. Awarded to Angeline Chapin, 1852-1854. 38 Greenwich Ave., North Ward, New York City. Primary Department. Also includes a sixth reward from New York Ward School No. 41 , May 1851. The engraving depicts a boy leaning on the world and a girl on a lectern "Free Education" . Largest measures 8"x 11 1/4". Condition varies.
