Publisher's blue top stain. Very good. The covers are mildly warped, and the spine is a bit rolled. There is a bookseller's small plate on the rear pastedown. With illustrations by Josef Capek, accompanying this classic work of garden literature, published originally in Czech, in 1929. Capek is well known for his early science fiction, particularly The War of the Newts. In The Gardener's Year, he explores his true passion for gardening freely.
