Clean and Fine in its patterned boards. 64mo, handsome "trade" engravings at each verso. The colophon at the rear: "Monticello is the typeface used in this pamphlet. It was cut by Linotype for the Jefferson Papers, the tremendous sixty volume publishing project of the Princeton University Press. It is a modern re-cutting of the Binny & Ronaldson Roman Number One, a type considered to be the first American design and one much in use in the first quarter of the XIX Century.
