Notable wear --and shaking-- at the outer hinges, pronounced scuffing along the spine. Light foxing and staining at the preliminaries and pastedowns. Contemporary-to-the-period stamp at the front free endpaper which bleeds onto the next few pages. Still though, solid and relatively well-preserved given its age. Octavo, 440 pgs., engraved illustrations.
