St. Petersburg: (Supodnoy Printing), 1844. Full Velvet. Fine. A gorgeous deep blue velvet binding with blindstamped ornamentation and gilt border ruling, and all edges gilt. Near miniature, 9 by 5.5 cm. 58 pp. Other than a tiny piece of gilt border missing on rear board, pristine. Silk moire endpapers. Stamped on blank "Printed in Soviet Union", which would have been done to evade export restrictions or to avert confiscation given that this was a traditional religious book that would have been disapproved by the atheistic Soviet rulers.
