New York City Manuscript Receipts for the Parks Department.

Five manuscript pay vouchers, most about 4" x 8. Some fold tears, paper a little fragile, normal browning and aging; otherwise very good. This basically a collection of pay vouchers for park keepers in 1839 in NYC. The payments were for work done in Washington Square, Thompkins Square, and Battery Park. Most of the receipts have four or five lines of text, and are docketed on the reverse.
