Square folio (14" x 11"), cloth, illustrated. Binding a little worn, especially at extremities, pages slightly loose, normal aging and darkening; otherwise about very good. Outstanding illustrations by Mary Cecilia Spaulding. Elizabeth Phelps (1844-1911) was an ardent feminist that challenged the traditions of the day. While the title is about winter, the story and illustrations are more about spring. Most of the illustrations are about flowers and tropical scenes. Requires extra postage.
