The map was not part of the original printing, but appears to be a production piece by the Chisholm Bros. (well known railroad enthusiasts) for MCRR (See, Thompson, E.V., Important Maine Maps, Books, Prints and Ephemera: Catalogue Raisonné). Overall, a handsome copy of well-known photo review with an exceptional copy of the Me. Cent. RR map. Rare in this state. Light shelf/edge wear (focused at head, heel and tips), joints starting, map tipped in at ffep (repaired at joint), slight curl to plate pages, else tight, bright and unmarred. Green cloth boards, gilt lettering, black ink decorative elements. 12mo. 65pp. Illus. (b/w plates).
