A collection of letters penned by Lady Harriot Pitt, who was William Pitt's much loved sister and who married his closest friend Edward James Eliot. Within a year of the marriage, Lady Harriot was with child, and it was at Downing Street that she gave birth to a daughter. Sadly within a week she died of puerperal fever. A nice copy of her letters, in an edition of only one hundred copies. With an engraved frontispiece portrait of Lady Harriot, which has some foxing. There is little foxing elsewhere in the book. Very Good binding.
