A fine example of Wither's political writing, this is a sequel to his 1664 Tuba-pacifica, warning against Anglo-Dutch hostilities. With the advent of the Second Anglo-Dutch war, he took up the cause again - speciically in the wake of the Four Day's Battle in May 1666, one of the longest naval battles in history that resulted in the loss of ten English ships.
