Florida, 1907. Softcover. Very Good. Oblong small quarto measuring 10" x 7". Paper wrappers with "photographs" stamped in white on the front wrapper. Contains 100 sepia-toned, cyanotype, or black and white photographs measuring between 1" x 1" and 4" x 5" with captions. Very good album with tears on the front wrapper with near fine photographs.

A photo album kept by a Florida family around 1907. The photos show family homes and portraits of friends and family around Florida. One photo shows a woman posed in the front yard of her Jacksonville home and another shows a home in Orlando. Other photos show people swimming, a woman posed on a rock in a fashionable outfit, children riding bicycles, and women posed by palms. They visited Silver Springs, Florida and Lake Lucerne. One photo shows a pair of women posed in photo strip images with a fan and fancy hats smiling and giggling for the camera. A group of women is seen posed in an orange grove with one photo showing a woman reaching up to pick an orange. The girls are also photographed posed on a beach and one photo shows a woman playing with a flying disc in a backyard. The group is seen posed in a rescue boat on a beach and by a car. The final pages show groups of girls in white dresses posed by a lake and on a wood pile. The girls are also seen in Halloween costumes and carrying their dolls. The last page shows a young woman posed in various places including on the dunes and in front of a family home.

An interesting collection of turn-of-the-century Florida images with a focus on upper class women.
