1916. Embossed colored cloth cover,hand drawn original artwork cut and glued onto pages, some with verses and signatures. A few pages say "to Flo", dates range from 1887-1916. Detailed and beautiful artwork; pencil sketches, pen and ink, watercolors, and paints, create a unique album. Verses included on some pages, credit to original authors. Some artwork is signed or initialed. Locations are not listed. Examples of artwork include; a sketched rabbit looking at silhouettes of hunters, vibrant painted flowers, a pen and ink sketch of a horse leaping a fence with the feet of the rider in the air, a pencil sketch of a sailor in uniform pulling petals off a flower that says "Sea Power", sketches of girl kneeling before boy with the quote "Two souls with a single thought, two hearts that beat as one", a sketch of a house on the banks of the water with a boat, the final sketch is a coffin in a graveyard with the note "Finis".
7 3/4" x 5" wear on cover, spine broken, some pages loose; one leaf separated from spine foxing and staining from rust from stapled binding.
