A LIBRARY OF WONDERS AND CURIOSITIES FOUND IN NATURE AND ART, SCIENCE AND LITERATURE

By I. Platt
New York: John B. Alden, Publisher, 1884. Very Good binding. A kind of cyclopedia with everything from an article on Bletonism (the faculty of perceiving subterraneous springs by sensation) to Pulque, the Mexican National Drink. Pasted to the endpaper is a disclaimer from a "Christian School" explaining that it does not endorse the contents "from the standpoint of morals, philosophy, theology, or scientific hypotheses" which just goes to show you can't be too careful. This copy with reinforcement to the hinges, and repair to a tear in the first page of the Contents page. Very Good binding.
