Kentucky, 1932. Softcover. Good. Oblong octavo measuring 10.5" x 4.5". String-tied flexible suede boards with a Native American illustration on the front board. Contains 75 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver measuring between 1.5" x 2" and 4" x 6" without captions. Good only album with rubbing, rips, and tears with very good photographs with chips and tears.
A photo album from a Kentucky family in the 1930s. The cover titled lists the compilers as Margaret and Walter and follows their friends and family while vacationing and going to events around 1932. Some of the photos are photo strip portraits of nicely dressed women and one of a couple posed together. A series of photos show people posed around a car drinking from a flask and an unlabeled bottle presumably at the end of prohibition. They vacationed on the Great Lakes and some photos show them posed on a beach and swimming. A group of women is seen in a few photos posed in the grass and in front of what appears to be a school. People are seen posed in a stadium including two men in football stances with their hands on the ground. Family is also seen posed on the steps of their home with all generations present. The final photograph shows a group photo of a baseball team.
