- Washington:: Blair and Rives,, 1846.
Pamphlet, 8vo, 8 pp. Some browning and soiling to edges and margins, edge folds, partially uncut, normal aging; other wise about very good. This is a somewhat scarce speech by Tibbatts (1802-1852) on the Cumberland Road. The OCLC locates only five copies. The Cumberland Road, first constructed between 1811-1837 was the first real national road. It served as the way to the new frontier for settlers trying to open the West. This pamphlet appears to set the stage for additional funding.
