One of Cuba's most significant musicians, Farres is said to have had an innate ability for composition. His works included well-known hits such as "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps," "Madrecita," "Tres Palabras," and many more. In 1962 Farres emigrated to the United States, where he resided in New Jersey until his death in 1985.
