In late 1979, after five years in New York City, we returned to Santa Fe, New Mexico and opened a shop dealing in rare books, ephemera, prints, maps, and vintage photography. We had both had an interest in old books for many years and David had worked as a cataloger at Swann Galleries for five years, where he started their photography department. We operated an open shop for eighteen years in downtown Santa Fe while traveling the USA and Europe to buy inventory. In 1997 we built a spacious bookroom adjacent to our home and now work by appointment. We have a number of specialties, although our voracious appetites for interesting books, photography, and ephemera in many subjects has never allowed us to narrow our purchasing to just a few. We have always had a keen interest in printed ephemera (we have been members of the Ephemera Society for the past 26 years) and have bought and sold extensively in nineteenth century photography. We have a specialty of books illustrated with original photographs. Our book inventory has always been strong in 19th century American imprints of various subjects and lately we have taken a deep interest in 19th and 20th century Mexico. We welcome your inquiries.
