Fred Cobb was a pharmacist who attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1887 and had part of his thesis "Proximate Analysis of Hemamelis Bark" published in Pharmaceutical Record, in March 1888. A well ordered, indexed, hand written receipt book filled with remedies such as Bed Bug Poison, Tooth Ache Drops (Chloroform & Oil of Clove), Coca Wine, Ginger Ale, Colored Inks, Gonorrhea Mixture, and Fireworks (Red Fire & Green Fire). Includes the original front board, spine and back cover lacking.
